Lectures of the Institute for Broadcasting Economics
The Institute for Broadcasting Economics is an independent research institute. It focuses on research and on the publication and communication of the results of its academic activities. This goal is reached by creation and distribution of scientific publications and the organization of academic events, but also with lectures for the students of the University of Cologne.
During the last years, teaching obligations have become less important, as other Institutes and Seminars of the University of Cologne have intensified teaching activities in media economics (see for details the chronological description in the activities reports of the Institute). Nevertheless, the holding of broadcasting economic lectures, mainly with emphasis on practical applications, will remain one of the Institutes' activities.
For the modalities of the lectures provided, for the preconditions of participation, and for the certificates granted, please see the descriptions of specific courses. They will change partly with the upcoming transformations from the present "Diplom- and Magisterstudiengänge" into Bachelor und Master Programmes (see for details http://www.pressoffice.uni-koeln.de/studienreform00.html).
