After a short welcome speech of Dr. Jan Eumann (Secretary of State for Media North Rhine-Westphalia), the first session, which took place in the morning, dealt with economic challenges and opportunities of Connected TV. Subsequently Dr. Berthold Heil talks about the cost structure of Connected TV. Prof. Dr. Detlef Schoder’s presentation refered to Connected TV and Big Data, while Robert Fahle discussed Connected TV as a field for innovation for media companies.

In the afternoon the second session dealt with media-political challenges and opportunities of Connected TV. Eva-Maria Michel’s presentation was about the question, whether Connected TV can be seen as an opportunity or as a constraint for public broadcasting and Dr. Manfred Korps’ talked about the Green Paper of the European Commission.
